Mississippi Ballet Theatre An Exemplary Business That Truly Serves Its Community For the ladies of Mississippi Ballet Theatre (MBT) of Clinton, how a business benefits the community it serves is just as important as what a business earns from the community. Allison Heindl loves to teach dance to her students ?both children and adults. Being a nurse as well as a dance instructor, she understands how necessary exercise is to physical well-being. Providing these fun and healthy classes is one way that Allison contributes to her community. Another way that Allison Heindl uses her business to contribute to the community is through her charitable efforts. Mississippi Ballet Theatre is a very active participant in the American Cancer Associations Relay for Life. In fact, Mississippi Ballet Theatre received a plaque in 2005 for having earned the most for ?Relay for Life ? in Clinton. This past October, several members of the dance theatre took a sponsored five-mile-walk, ?Making Strides for Breast Cancer ? (see photos this page). Allison also held an ?All Night Dance Camp ? this past Spring to help support ?Relay for Life. ? This is a charity that touches close to Allison ?s heart, since her mother is a fortunate cancer survivor. Mississippi Ballet Theatre is a thriving dance studio that has been growing and improving over the years. New classes are being added on continually, as interest and attendance has blossomed. If anyone, young or adult, wants to take dance from MBT, Allison Heindl welcomes the business. Allison is taking applicants now for MBT Summer Dance Camp to be held the second week of July. The young children will have a great time learning from Allison, and the Intermediate and Advanced dancers will take ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, stretch, and strengthening classes from Cortney Hogue. These students will learn a short dance which they will perform for the people at The Mustard Seed, a community for impaired adults. For information about MBT Summer Dance Camp, contact Allison Heindl at 601/924-1060 or by e-mail at MBTdance@aol.
